John Hingston

John has worked as a financial planner for 30 years. He helped form Independent Financial Planning in 1994 and is immensely proud of the growth and reputation of the company. John is a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Professional Finance Society. He is dedicated to working closely with his clients helping them achieve their financial objectives. He considers this to be an ongoing long term relationship and his passion for his vocation continues to burn brightly.
Away from the office, John is a keen footballer. Having vigorously played his whole life, he is not finished yet, despite calls from his wife Gill, to start acting his age. He is the proud Father of two children and four Grandchildren (and counting).
Nicholas Hingston
Mortgage Adviser

Nick has worked as a mortgage adviser at Independent Financial Planning since 2015. He is dedicated to his role and gets great personal satisfaction from helping clients purchase a property and start a new chapter in their lives. Nick has recently passed the ‘advanced’ mortgage exam and became a member of the Society of Mortgage Professionals. His focus is on becoming a financial adviser and his continued studies are leading him towards this.
In his spare time Nick enjoys spending time with his family and is proud to have just won the
league playing football with his local team, Stoke Rangers.
Natalie Gibson
Personal Assistant

Natalie is John’s Personal Assistant, liaising between John and his clients, ensuring that a first-class service is constantly delivered. Natalie has over 17 years of administrative experience ensuring that client needs are of the utmost importance. Natalie loves the interaction between John, herself and his clients. “It is clear to me that John has struck an important bond between himself and his clients and I really enjoy being a part of that journey”
Away from the office Natalie is a keen runner, enjoys cooking and loves spending quality time with her family.
Gillian Hingston
Personal Assistant

Gill is Nick’s Personal Assistant, liaising between Nick and his clients. Gill has had a long career in administration helping to deliver a first-class service. “It is a pleasure to work with Nick and his clients, ensuring that their needs are dealt with now and also, in the future”
Away from the office, Gill loves working on creating ideas in her craft room and spending quality time with her Grand Children.
